The Empire State Building was a stunning beacon of light and music last night at 10:30pm ET as the lights flashed in rhythm to Shawn Mendes’ live performance of “If i Can’t Have You” in the city that never sleeps – NYC!! Mendes’ live performance took place at the Robin Hood Benefit which is the largest gala raising money to fight poverty in the United States. 100% of Robin Hoods donations go to community partners who operate on-the-ground programs to fight poverty. The efforts are to keep more than 200,000 New Yorkers fed and off the streets as well as helping them secure jobs and housing. Along with Shawn Mendes’ live performance, those attending the gala would see a stand up set from comedian Sebastian Maniscalco along with a performance from Pharrell. The light show aired live on the Empire State Building’s YouTube page last night at 9:30 CT. Watch the gorgeous aerial view video below!
